I'm trying to figure out if it comes with the pole as seen in the product picture (for a point & shoot camera). Don't want it to be too short.
The pole is sold separately. CamKix makes a good one! I have it. It would be great for PnS camera, if you put it on a table. Or strap it to something. By T. Vuong Pham on June 20, 2015 .

How good of a stabilizer is when recording with a gopro or videocamera?
While moving do you mean? If so, no vibration reduction. That's not what this is made to do. It's made to be a mini- tripod. In that it works great! Nice and stable on the ground. I have mounted my Nikon D60, and the ball joint held. For the GoPro sized crowd it even works well as a hand hold. By Emily on September 13, 2015 .

how steady is the thread if i where to screw in a pole on there? will it just flop to the side?
I think the screw would handle a pool just fine but the stability of the tripod would depend on the length of the pole. I would say if you were going to use a pole to just get a regular tripod. The one use I found very cool about this tripod was the low to ground macro work with my 70D. Good luck and let me know if you… see more I think the screw would handle a pool just fine but the stability of the tripod would depend on the length of the pole. I have a metal bar with 2 go pros; is that too much weight?
Hi James,This tripod can be combined with all CamKix poles which means it can take an extra weight. what's the weight limit? i have a metal bar with 2 cameras
I would be concerned with both weight and balance. The center of gravity for two cameras. If you had a single DLSR even that might be "top heavy" By T. Vuong Pham on April 2, 2016 .
