A CamKix Hero Takes the Stage at the November Photo Contest

Macro shots are in, and the winner in last month’s “Macro Photography Contest: THAT WAS CLOSE!” has been decided. We’re filled with awe as photos become extra interesting when taken up-close. It’s as if we’re playing guessing game until we see the big picture!

We got a series of great macro shots from Edwin Loyola (@edwinloyola), who is also our photo contest winner. Congratulations, Edwin!

And his winning photo: a macro shot of a leaf. See how colorful it is!

Our runner up, @ken1w from San Francisco, took a photo of a tiny origami crane. It’s folded from a 1x1 inch paper. To show off its size, an old worn-out Buffalo Nickel (5¢ coin) is juxtaposed against the origami.

He is fascinated on how photos are imaged on a magazine using tiny patterns. Similar to the computer’s pixels, the microscopic details are too small to identify unless you get real close.

For their prizes, Edwin is getting a Smartphone Photography Kit. It has a Bluetooth Remote Control Camera Shutter, five lenses, and an octopus pod. The kit includes telephoto, CPL, fish eye, macro and wide angle lens.

On the other hand, @ken1w is planning to use his 30% discount code to purchase 5-in-1 Universal Lens Kit with Clip-on Adapter.

Congratulations, and keep on joining the CamKix Instagram Photo Contest. Check out the  latest contest: Tis the Season: Sound and Sights of Christmas
